The workshop facilitated the conversation between art/specializing in Buddhist art and media designers with expertise in using multimedia technology to create immersive exhibition spaces and special effects.
The purpose of the workshop was to identify mechanisms that will permit Museum visitors to experience Buddhist art within the context of two very different exhibitions. The common thread was that both exhibits will attempt to create an immersive experience which also allows the visitor to experience the progressive process of Buddhist meditation. Participants were interested in using digital media to transform two very different types of Buddhist art within the exhibition space.
